The situation
Why this project matters
Namamali Ward has talent everywhere and infrastructure almost nowhere: few recreational facilities, sports fields or creative spaces, and schools that lack equipment, instruments and art supplies.
Cultural norms compound the problem for girls, who are often discouraged from activities perceived as 'unfeminine' — cutting them off from the confidence, leadership skills and connections that sport and art build.
This project provides the structured pathway that's missing: talent scouting, professional coaching, workshops, mentorship and public showcases that turn raw ability into marketable skill.
Objectives
- Identify and nurture sports and creative talents among 500 youth
- Provide training and mentorship in football, volleyball, athletics, music, drama and art
- Create platforms connecting youth with mentors, sponsors and professional networks
- Ensure equal participation of girls across every activity
